The Flemish singer, Dana Winner, launched today her new album, called "Puur" at the Fashion Museum, in her native town Hasselt. Dana’s new album “PUUR” contains 17 songs, including the hits from “Liefde voor Muziek”, a very popular Belgian TV program. During the presentation of her new album, Dana received a golden award from Patrick Guns, General Manager of Universal Music Belgium.
The star presented her new high-tech dress, featuring a bodice wrapped in 1900 LED lights. The 4 colour LEDs can display videos or texts. The dress will be worn by the singer in a video clip and during four concerts later this this year, from September to November, in Oostende, Gent, Antwerpen and Hasselt.
The project named "Dress Code" has been the idea of designer Kristof Buntinx, who brought together a cross-disciplinary team for this project: Baltan Laboratories, Flandes DC - IWT - CICI, researchers from UGent - Department of Textile, lights and electronics specialists from the company Lux Lumen and Felicia Teleuca for the tailoring.
VTM has dedicated a slot during the Thursday evening news.
In the following clip, you will find out how this dress came to life:
