WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT FROM YOU AND HOW?

General Information

- MARGUERITTE COUTURE collects personal information in several ways when you contact us, visit us, place an order, buy a gift voucher for a friend or register for a service offered by MARGUERITTE COUTURE.
- If you contact us using any of the online forms on the website we collect: Name, Email, Phone Number, Delivery Address. When you contact us, we receive a notification mail with your details. The email access is secured and accessible only to authorized users.
- If an order is placed with us, we need to hold personal information including your name, email address, phone numbers, home address, shipping and credit card billing address(es) so that we can process and fulfill your order. The credit card details are fully encrypted and masked by our website solution. The only visible information to a website administrator is the card type, last 4 digits and expiry date.
- In case you are a company, we will additionally collect the VAT number and Company Name for the purposes of invoicing.
- Additionally, we may also ask information to confirm your identity, prevent fraud or if required by the law.
- If you visit us, we collect physically: Name, Email, Phone Number, Delivery Address (VAT number and Company Name if you represent a company). These details are stored physically on paper and allow us to process your order, deliver your order and to invoice you.

Website Information

In operating our store, it is essential for us to capture some information about your device, such as your IP address and information related to your visit when you browse our store. For example, this might include time-stamp, the last page or product you visited, the indication that you logged in.
We do that in order to:
● remember who you are after you log in so that you do not need to authenticate at each click;
● monitor if our website is running with the high performance we are dedicated to providing;
● let you browse between products without having to start back from the home page at each click;
● remember if you put something in your shopping cart before you decide to checkout; and
● control that your data is processed securely.
We call the information mentioned above “essential information” and we collect it through the use of cookies. Cookies are small text files that most websites uses. Order information you expressly provide

If you buy something from our store, we will need more specific information about you. To fully process your order and ship the merchandise you selected, we need your personal data such as your first and last name, your email address and your shipping and billing address. We also use your contact and order information to send you communication related to the processing of your order. We will ask you to provide this information in our “checkout page” before letting you finalize your purchase with the payment.

Accounts

You can sign up for an account if you’d like. This will make us happy because it confirms your interest in our store. It should also make you happy because we will remember your information and, when you decide to buy our products, you do not have to provide all of your information over again -- you just have to log-in. Partial Purchases

If you have started to buy one of our products, but have not completed the purchase, you may have provided partial information, such as your email. In that case, we might send you an email to remind you about your interest. If you are not comfortable in receiving further emails of this kind, we will give you a simple opportunity to opt-out. Your privacy means a lot to us and we will stop sending you these communications right away.

Reviews

If you have completed a purchase, we will send you an email to ask you to review the product you bought. We want to be sure that whether you love your purchase or have a complaint, you can share your opinion with other customers.

Personalization


We also use some specific information related to your visit, such as the timestamp of your visit, the page or the product you viewed, where you are coming from (if you came to our store because you clicked on an advertisement or you just opened our direct link). - If we have a contract or we invoice you, then we need to share the Name, Email, Phone Number, Physical Address, VAT and Company Number with our Registered Accountant and the Belgian Tax Office, as well as the details of the specific order
- If we need to use a delivery service then your contact details will be shared with that delivery service.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS – DISPLAY ADEVRTISING SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

MARGUERITTE ONLINE STORE has implemented Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. This means:

Data is used from Google's Interest-based advertising or 3rd-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interests) with Google Analytics. This may include:

  • Overview (overview of traffic by age and gender)
  • Age (traffic by age ranges)
  • Gender (traffic by gender)

-         Interests

  • Overview (overview of traffic by affinity and other categories)
  • Affinity Categories (behavior by affinity categories)

  • Other Categories (behavior by other interest categories)

These reports may allow MARGUERITTE ONLINE STORE to see not only how many times a user visited over a date range, but also who those users are, and how their behavior varies by attribute (e.g., male vs. female).

This data is also available in custom reports, and it can be used as the basis for segmentation, to evaluate how the users' behavior varies by demographics and interests (for example, do women interested in Apparel convert more frequently or read specific types of content more than females who are interested in Shopping).

Where do we store your personally identifiable information?

- We use an external provider to run our store, BigCommerce. BigCommerce is based in the US and is a participant in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and committed to providing best-in-class service and data protection. - Through BigCommerce, we also use other, highly specialized external providers to provide the
- most competitive services. For example:
- ● Payment: Our store is PCI-DSS compliant (a very strict industry standard with requirements for the security of credit card information), but we want to use accredited companies to process your credit card information, such as PayPal
- ● Shipping: We integrate with a number of shipping companies to fulfill your orders. It is impossible to know in advance the provider, as it depends on the destination and delivery type.
- When you contact us through the website, your personal data is shared and stored with a third-party email provider SurveyMonkey - Wufoo based in the United States and the European Union
- We use Google Analytics for website usage statistical purposes. See the GOOGLE ANALYTICS – DISPLAY ADEVRTISING SPECIFIC PROVISIONS.
- When we make you a price offer or we process an invoice, your personal details are stored in an off-line system based in Belgium.

How long do we store your personally identifiable information?

We will keep your personal information:
- For as long as required by law
- Until we no longer have a valid reason for keeping it
- Until you request us to stop using it.
We may keep just enough of your personal information to ensure that we comply with your requests not use your personal information or comply with your right to erasure. For example, we must keep your request to be erased even if it includes your personal data until such time as you are no longer our customer.
- For invoicing purposes, legally we are obliged to keep the invoices for 7 years in Belgium. We take the necessary measures to delete or encrypt and anonymize the records after this period.
- Unfinished orders or contact data are deleted after a reasonable amount of time. Physical assets and paper forms are shredded. We aim keeping your personal data for less than one year from the date you first contacted us, unless you are customer (the above paragraph applies).

What if I chose not to give you my personal information?

If the personal information is necessary in order to supply goods or services to you under a contract between you and us, then we will not enter into that contract or provide the services or goods if you do not give us your personal information.

Safeguarding Your Personally Identifiable Information

- We will use our best endeavors to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided us with. When you place an order or access your account information, we use a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption which encrypts your information before it is sent to us to protect it from unauthorized use. In addition, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that third party business partners to whom we transfer any data will provide sufficient protection of that personal information.

Marketing Opt-In And Opt-Out Provision

When you register, you must agree to the Privacy Policy and consent for the collection of your personal data as described in Privacy Policy.
In addition, you will be given the option to opt-out of subscribing by sending from My Account – View Messages an e-mail with the Subject 'Unsubscribe':
